This gym is amazing! They helped me shred
body fat and helped tone my arms, legs, and butt!  Josh is motivating and inspiring. I've never not been sore after a class. The best way to release stress.

Pro:  I really enjoy working out here.  Great atmosphere and the 30 minute classes are perfect for me and my busy schedule.

Con:  It is expensive.  Me and my husband are members and we pay almost $200/month.  The fancy big box gym around the corner is a little over $100 for a family of 2.  As much as I like this gym, for the cost, we probably won't renew after our contract is up.

I purchased a groupon yesterday after many of my friends (who do not go here) have talked about how awesome kick boxing is for people who are wanting a good short cardio class. This seemed perfect. I woke up this morning so ready to kick some butt today...but it quickly turned around. When I walked in there was two people. One being a trainer the other some girl he was training. I get a Hi from the trainer and then hear him say to the girl. "She's been here before." Actually, I haven't. I would have hoped that you would see that I had questions after standing at the front desk the next 5-7 minutes while you continued talking with the other girl. After they finished he comes up and says "what's up?" I purchased a groupon and it's my first class (still no one has showed up for this class either) Trainer-"Oh okay, fill this out. We are going to start 10-15 minutes late."

So I wait which I only became more worried as no one else has shown up yet. I have gone to several classes at different times to different groups around Austin. Never has it been this dead. I don't mind working out alone with some one else but this was pathetic.

I finally went up to him and said if I came at an earlier time would there be more people and would the class last the full 30 minutes in which it was advertised for? He told me no. Each one was about 15 minutes? Seriously? I can work out by myself for that long.

I proceeded to say I wanted  refund and I got in return that he doesn't deal with the computers. Okay. Thanks. You really really SUCK. So, Josh, please be ready to receive a call from me this afternoon so we can get this sorted out and you can give me refund. If you're going to put up a groupon. Have your trainers ready to greet new people and make them feel welcomed. Also-don't advertise classes to be 30 minute fat shredding classes because they are obviously cut in half and are pointless for people making the drive to your gym like myself.

    Will never be back.

I'm amending this review today 8/7/2014. The owner and Josh have tried very hard in offering me a few services at no expense for my bad experience. However, I have found a new gym I am happy at and appreciate the outgoing offers they have presented. I wish them the best.

The best trainers at Impact MMA Fitness are no longer there, so I terminated my membership.

I've done the gym, bootcamp, running, etc. I finally found a gym that I love and actually get results! To relieve stress, get cardio, lose weight all in a half hour is my kind of gym! It's not just working out... It's training!!!!

When I first went to this gym I was not a physically active person. Eating burgers and watching tv sounded so much better than working out. I told myself I would change that. I tried the whole 24 hr fitness thing but rarely went or when I did I wasn't exactly sure what to do once there. I found a groupon for Impact so I figured why not? If I didn't like it then I'd only be out $40. I don't like working out alone either so I recruited a co worker to go since they offer your first class free of charge.
I went and absolutely loved it. Why you ask? I didn't feel pressured whatsoever to sign up like other gyms do. The gym is clean and the instructors are extremely motivating and truly love what they do.
I went to classes at different times and found that there is a wide range of skill level so I didn't feel like embarrassed that I couldn't do as much as everyone else and again there was no pressure from the instructors to push you beyond what you are capable of simply they just motivate you the entire time which in my case motivated me to push harder.
I signed up for the 6 month package (they have different options I.e. Month to month, year etc) and with my work schedule I can't go as often as I like but every time I do go I am never disappointed. Now I am comfortable going by myself because everyone is so friendly and like I said no one is judging you if you can't do everything to their level.  You can be ridiculously in shape or not at all- the trainers work with everyone.
Classes are short and sweet (30 mins) but I normally stay for an hour (30 kickboxing, 30 strength) but when I leave I feel like I worked out harder than ever before.  I love the am and noon classes because they are smaller but all class times are great workouts.
I highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone. You won't regret it. Like I said, you get a free trial class so take advantage of it what do you have to lose?

I've been coming here for a while now and I have to say that since becoming a member I have never received more comments/compliments on my physique and fitness level. I put in the time and effort and the classes I've been taking have been whipping me into shape without a doubt.

That being said, a few things have changed around here, namely the staffing and I have yet to determine how it will affect me in the long run but I will give credit where it's due.

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to workout with three different instructors. Brandi's strength class was, in a word, great. I totally felt that the pacing of the class was on point. I was constantly moving and never got bored. I also have to give her props for choosing exercises and equipment that I can honestly say I felt isolate the muscles they were intending to work. From the ground and pound bags to the kettle bells. It worked for me.

I followed that up with a cardio class with Josh. I got to work a circuit which is what I'm used to and I love hitting bags so that's always fun. I had a love-hate relationship with his effort to use pads for a punching combo drill. I loved that he wanted to incorporate pad work. I hated that I only got to do it once as there were too many people in class to be able to give everyone a second shot.

Feeling bold, I opted to take one other cardio class later on with Rodney. Again, lots of bag work which I love and a good focus on technique. I'm here to workout and sweat but if I'm going to learn/use a skill, I want to make sure that my form and technique are correct and Rodney definitely emphasizes that in his classes.

One more thing to mention is that the camaraderie amongst the "regulars" at this gym is awesome. Not everyone needs it, but if you like group exercise classes chances are you will find that beneficial rather than detrimental. My gym buddies help create a sense of accountability. I'm much less likely to slack off if I know I'm expected to be there.

I have taken 2 classes so far there, both only 30 minute conditioning classes, and both times I left with my lungs feeling like they were experiencing oxygen for the first time.  And I work out A LOT normally, so this was pleasantly surprising.  As I was leaving my first class, I overheard another woman from the class talking about how she's lost over 20 pounds so far. I have no idea how long she's been doing it, but that's pretty awesome either way.  I'm not surprised though.  The class was awesome, and well organized so that it would be good for anyone regardless of their fitness background. And props to the instructor of the class - Jennie - who managed to slip in little lessons on technique even during an intense fast-paced workout.  She obviously knows what she's doing and has had a lot of teaching experience.

Also, the set-up they have there is really impressive.  They utilize the space really well, and everything is in good shape.  Some gyms can be kind of dingy with the heavy bags falling apart and with not enough equipment for everyone.  Not here though.  Everything is in great shape... they clearly take pride in what they do.

Another thing I really appreciated was that they weren't pushy about sales at all. They just let the product sort of sell itself.  They answered all of my questions and everything, but I never felt pressured, and they were really easygoing about working with me on coming up with a membership that worked in my budget and with my schedule.  Super helpful.

I went to my first class on August 2nd and didn't join because I had some knee issues and wasn't sure if the classes would work for me. I did have a great workout with Josh on the 2nd. I went back on the 4th to try the classes again and had Brandi. I had another great workout and decided to join that day. They're able to work with my limitations and after the first month of joining I lost 5 lbs. I used to be a runner, but haven't run in 2 years. I missed my runners high and I'm able to get that with the hiit and kickboxing class. I'm glad I joined and continue to see results.

I have never both dreaded and anticipated a class as hard as I do anything at Impact. The bulk of classes are 30-minute intervals alternating between Strength (death) and Kickboxing (sadness). These are thoughts and things that transpire in or around this studio.

    -- I can't feel my legs.
-- We do a push-up challenge because it's definitely something I've never wanted to do.
    -- I can't feel my legs.
-- I kick things so hard I almost knock the wind out of myself.
-- The instructors are for real about form because good form makes everything hurt more.
-- Someone almost gets run over every time because this parking lot is a trip.
    -- I can't feel my arms.
-- I think mean things about the instructors when they tell us what we're about to do.
-- Kettlebells are a stupid situation.
-- My shins are bruised from beating things.
    -- I can't feel my quads.
-- We do some TRX-band-assisted pull-ups and they are awful.
-- My elbows are bruised from beating things.
-- We have been lied to because this 1-minute plank has been going on for at least 2 days.
-- Medicine balls are not medicinal.
-- We do jump squats because walking normally isn't important.
    -- I can't feel my chest.
-- At work I go to stand up but immediately sit back down because my butt cheeks and hamstrings have fallen off.
-- My abs want life to be over.
-- The trainers give you props for making progress.
    -- I can't feel my face.

Obviously I'm getting a year membership ($60/month) when the preview month ($39) is over because this is the best thing ever.

I've been going to gold's gym for over a year and a half, 5 days a week for at least an hour day. I started going to impact strong for about a month now. The results I see here are better than when I was going to gold's gym. This place is AWESOME! The trainers are AMAZING. They are very motivating. Also a judgment free zone. I HIGHLY recommend this gym.

My doctor said I needed to lose weight (a lot of it), exercise more and get my blood pressure down.  I was "kinda" jogging once in a while, but could not get motivated.  About two months ago, I heard about Impact and started taking kickboxing classes there (around mid-June).  I've continued taking them and I'm up to 6 classes a week.  I dropped +10 lbs in the first 3 weeks and I'm losing inches at a crazy rate.  About a week or so ago, my 14 yr old daughter gave me a hug. She then said: "Hey dad, I can put my arms all the way around you and grab my wrist. I could barely touch my fingertips before." Best. Compliment. Ever.

Needless to say, the classes are incredibly addicting and very therapeutic (beating the crap out of a bag after a long day at work is a great stress reliever).  And there is no "fail" in these classes.  You just need to show up, push hard and go at your own pace.  They are constantly mixing the classes up so you are always learning new stuff and never getting bored.

The people at Impact are amazing.  They are *super* encouraging and take a personal interest in helping you get healthier.  The people taking the classes are equally as friendly.  No matter what your fitness level, I *highly* recommend this gym.

I was the queen of excuses!  I could find almost any excuse to miss a workout... It's too hot, it's too cold, I "forgot" my workout clothes.  Didn't really take much to point my truck to my house instead of the gym.  I was doing a class at a local CrossFit gym that I really liked, but I still found excuses not to go... Until now!  After struggling to get to 1 or 2 classes a week at my old gym, I'm here at least 4 days (more if I can fit it in).

NO MORE EXCUSES!  I was hooked after my first couple of classes at Impact MMA Fitness.  Ryan kicked my butt in Primal and kickboxing.  I was so excited to get such a great workout in such a short amount of time.  After I signed up, I took kickboxing with Rob and I was not disappointed.  I've only taken classes with Ryan and Rob, each bringing new ways to torture me to the table.  I thought I'd seen my last burpee when I left CrossFit... nope!  Rob is a crossfitter and regularly works those burpees into the workouts.  Every class is different so there is no chance of getting bored.  From kettlebells to medicine balls to wailing on a heavy bag... there's something for everyone.  And there is tons of core work!!!  I'd have abs of steel if I didn't eat like crap!  Plus, all the clients are extremely nice and very welcoming.

So stop making excuses and come in for a free class!  You will not be disappointed!

Can't say enough good things about this gym - I'm recommending it to everyone I know. I started around February with the kickboxing class wanting to get in shape for a wedding. I began adding the strength classes in & between the two saw such a difference in my body that I signed up for another 3 months & the the 90 day fitness challenge. I've tried a little bit of everything & nothing has been this successful at getting my core in shape. I've developed muscles I didn't even know existed! I'm totally addicted. I can't go more than 2 days without hitting a class.

Definitely take advantage of the Primal class. The muscles isolation helps you see a difference fast! My stamina & strength have improved so drastically in 4 months that I have had 3 different doctors (all specialists) ask me what workout I'm doing.

Take from Ryan. He's a great encourager but will definitely push you. I never leave feeling like I haven't had a good workout. There may be days you hate him a little but as soon as you have to put on some little shorts or a bikini you'll be thanking him. Also Ryan is quick to correct form so you don't waste time doing something wrong for weeks before someone notices you're working the wrong muscles. Overall great gym: warm, open, everyone is friendly & focused on getting in shape.

    I keep going back.

It's bizarre. I don't know why. Like all the other reviews, the owner is super nice, he and the employees are knowledgable and attentive, the classes are in thirty minute increments alternating between strength training and kickboxing and they're closed on Sundays thank god! I get one day of rest because like some drug, I want more. Even though they kick my butt each time, no workout is ever the same. Which is the beauty of it all.

So, let me tell you about me. I'm a little old lady of 51, bad knees, and need to lose at best 60 pounds. I got the red flag from my doctor so started a fitness and diet plan and of course fell off after some success. I was looking for a class thinking that would get me to commit and so far, so good. These guys have been nothing but patient with me, working with me one on one in the class and sure, I felt like throwing up after the first class which means, I worked out like I never did before in my life, but never did they discourage me. I've had nothing but pats on the back and guidance.

I gave the class one month, it's been about three weeks. Looks like I'll try another...then maybe another....then

Regardless of your fitness level, I highly recommend MMA Impact. Come and get your butt kicked, you'll come back for more!

I like to think I'm in pretty good shape. I can't bench press a bear or anything (yet) but I can take a beating like a champ. (After all, I've done Insanity not once but twice.) But the 12:30 class here beats. my. ass. I LOVE ending a workout drenched in sweat and feeling like I've been put through the ringer, and Steve really delivers. It's a mega-pain to get there at 12:30 with my schedule the way it is, but I make it a priority to get my butt in that class at least 3x a week.

The best part is that everyone is really low-key. There aren't any brosephs wandering the floor trying to show off and the way things are structured makes it hard to even notice what anyone else is doing. I've never felt less self conscious in a group fitness setting than I do here.

Looking forward to eventually being able to bust out a million pull-ups with the help of their new PRX7 system instead of just hanging from the bar and trying to will it to happen.

    Awesome gym,
great instructors and nice folks to boot.
Mike is special, one of a kind, possibly the nicest person I have met in Austin. Robert an instructor there is very professional, dedicated, a true encourager and knows his stuff. I haven't worked out with Jeff yet but I met him he introduced himself the first time I went there and had a word of encouragement for me too. I look forward to working out with him early tomorrow morning.

The owners Steve Doss and his partner Mike Primeau are great, real experts, laid back and friendly.  I have told all my friends about this place. I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, I am walking taller, my core is firmer and I feel more confident.

Everything  is fantastic about this place. It is clean, well lit, well organized. Great music, super trainers and fun.

I am so happy to have found it, so much so that I  I prepaid for 90 days in early May 2013 and bought a 10 class early morning extra classes packet on Friday May 10th, for the early am classes which are extra.

Tomorrow morning I am going to a 5:30 am class, Mike the amazing teacher, trainer and owner told me that the instructor Jeff is really good. I look forward to it.  I am so happy to go that I am taking my Brazilian friend Maria from Los Angeles with me, it will be her first time.  There is even a sweet dog, Mike's called Willow and she is friendly, doesn't get in the way and somehow encourages me too. :-)

I also like the fact that this gym is very female friendly, lots of ladies work out here. The work out is fast, boom, in and out. The mma training is 30 minutes and you can stay for an optional 30 minute weight lifting work out if you want. Just a little bennie they throw in. It's great.

They also have a class called Primal Fitness....O.M.G. so good so effective try and do it with Mike on Saturday mornings, a life changer.

So grateful for Impact MMA Fitness :-))))

    12/15/2013 Updated review

So I previously reviewed this gym when I first started here about 6 months ago.  I have to say, there has been no change in my attitude about this place.  If anything, I like it more than ever!  Since I started, I have lost about 10 pounds and I feel better than ever.  The last time I was in this good of shape was back when I ran track in college and that was ages ago.  This place is amazing. Truly.  The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly-from both fellow members and instructors.  Thank goodness for this gym or I'd still be wishing I could fit into my skinny jeans instead of actually being able to wear them like I can now!

I joined Impact MMA Fitness shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday. I always walked by the place and was intrigued by people beating the crap out of heavy bags. I wanted to punch and kick things. Exercise machines are boring and running makes my knees hurt lately. I signed up for a free class and now I'm hooked!

it turns out that the owner Steve Doss is the same kickbox cardio instructor I had back in '97. This was even before I ever heard of Billy Blanks. Steve is the real deal!

I usually go at least 5 times a week, starting with the 30 minutes of Primal and then finishing with the 30 minutes of workout. The ab workouts kill me! But that's OK because a muffin top does not make me a cupcake.

During the Christmas break, my family and I went skiing. In the past, my legs are usually so sore after the first day of skiing that the second day is spent in the hotel to recover. This time it was different. No soreness at all, thanks to the butt-kicking by the trainers Ryan and Roberto. Thank you, may I have another!

You don't have to be in the best shape to participate, benefit in or enjoy these classes. I have been doing these classes for a little over a month now. I am hooked and can't wait until the next class! I feel amazing after each workout. The beauty is that I am able to workout at my own personal pace and fitness level regardless of the other fitness levels in each class. The physical release is incredible and I love the results so far. Many thanks to the staff! The instructors are top notch!

  • 5.0 star rating

It's too bad that Yelp limits you to only 5 stars -- this place deserves at least ten. I've been going to Impact since August 2012 and it was easily one of the best choices I've ever made. I'm the worst with workout routines; I'll try something for a couple of weeks and then give it up, usually out of boredom. But Impact is easy to stay with & is NEVER boring. And the best part is that it's helped me lose ten pounds since January!

Impact offers a ton of different classes, ranging from cardio kickboxing to strength training. The classes are challenging and the best part is that you can set your own pace, which really helps you notice your improvement as the weeks go by. The instructors also mix up the classes, so every day brings something different.

Also, Impact's instructors are amazing. They'll push you when you want to be pushed, but they're also easy to talk to &  fun to joke around with. The other gym members are great, too--everyone is friendly & encouraging. Overall, Impact provides the perfect atmosphere to get sweaty, have fun, and have an amazing workout.

I can't say enough great things about this place--I definitely recommend it to everyone!

I was always finding excuses to not work out, I could never stick to a gym or work out regimen. I have had trainers, but never any that inspired me to change my habits. I have to say with sincerity, that Ryan is the best trainer I have personally encountered. He kicks my ass, works me harder than I ever would have worked myself, and is able to make me laugh and have a good time while doing it. I highly recommend Impact Fitness to anyone willing to put in the work for a healthy change! It's not easy but it has been fun!

My 9 year old daughter said she wanted to hit some stuff so I said, OK, Let's Do It. My husband, daughter and I had our first personal training session there with Mike on Sunday and we all loved it and are going to make it a regular thing. Mike is really nice, knowledgeable and encouraging. The gym is tidy and clean and they offer lots of different types of martial arts and can integrate them into your workout. We are going to get fit and to learn some self defense techniques. Mike's dog Willow added a super sweet touch to the entire experience. We are all looking forward to returning to Impact MMA Fitness next week. YAHOO!

I joined Impact MMA Fitness 6 weeks ago and I have not missed a single day of workout since. I am enjoying the classes and I have noticed muscles on my body that I have never seen before.

I have been a member of several gyms but only Impact MMA has kept me so motivated. The reason is that there are a lot of great things about Impact MMA:

    - The classes are great: Each workout lasts 30 minutes and its core consists of 6 one-minute intervals with one-minute breaks between them. Before and after the interval session you work out hard too. You see, punching and kicking bags and mitts is a lot of fun but it will tire you up quickly.

    - The instructors are great: I have only been to the 8:30 am class with Karen and the 12:30 pm class with Steve (the owner), and I love both of them. Both of them will motivate and encourage you. Because of my schedule, I have not been to any of the afternoon classes but I have heard that those instructors also have a following.

    - Last, but not least, the price is great: Although you can pay month-by-month, if you sign up for 6 months, you end up paying a little less than $50/month (June 2012 prices). If you sign up for a year, you end up paying a little less than $40/month  (June 2012 prices.) And if you sign up for 3 months or more, you get a free pair of gloves.

So, try Impact MMA. Your first class is free. You will love it and join on the spot.

I went here for about five months when I was living closer to South Austin and LOVED it.  It's one of the very, very few types of exercises that I'm excited to go and do.  They ramp your heart rate up really high within the first few minutes and then it stays pretty high intensity throughout the half hour, making it an efficient calorie-burning workout for people who have little time.  My arms, abs and thighs got pretty ripped from 3-4 classes a week.  The music's always pumping and the teachers are fun--no reason to be intimidated if you don't know what you're doing.

I stopped going because I moved to North Austin, but I miss it.  If you try it, you will find it addictive.  A 3-month package is affordable, especially considering the fact that you're getting personalized attention at each class.

For the first time in my life, I have found a workout that I actually look forward to doing four to five times a week!! Coming from someone who simply hates to exercise and has tried everything! This gym is very friendly, non intimidating, and the workouts are perfect for all skill levels. Every class is different, so you never get board and you ALWAYS get an intense workout. In addition, you are learning some excellent self defense moves.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I've recommended it to many of my friends who have joined as well. After going consistently since feb, I feel better that I ever have!!  Special recognition to  Ryan the instructor who works hard, makes his classes interesting, fun, challenging, and different every time.....he will motivate, encourage and push his class to their highest potential!! This place rocks. Come in for a free class!

I've only been at this gym for about 6 weeks, but I'm already seeing results. I don't like working out for the sake of working out, but I do enjoy being in shape. I actually have fun here because I'm working out and learning a skill. I've never walked into a gym and immediately felt comfortable, but I did at this place.
Finally a workout that's worth the monetary investment.

I joined Impact Fitness about 6 weeks ago just after Thanksgiving. My wife and I had been observing the classes from our car when dropping off are son at the Mathnasium next door. I thought the class looked real interesting like cardio kick box with bags in a circuit training format. One day while peaking through the window I struck up a conversation with one of the owners and decided to try a free class. My wife and I have been hooked every since.

My wife and I have been going to both the primal X and impact fitness classes back to back 6 days a week. If I miss a workout I am kicking myself. I have never been so committed to working out. Every workout is different, the atmosphere is great, and the trainers are awesome. Just after a few weeks I had a very noticeable increase in strength and endurance. Each class is fun, I don't feel like the work out is a chore like in the past at the gym.

The Primal X class has been huge for increasing strength. I have a pretty sedentary job and had not worked out regularly in nearly a year. One goal I have had for several years to be able to do pull ups. Thanks to the primal X class exercise of high rep assisted pull ups, I am now able to easily pull off an unassisted pull up. I just feel stronger every single day. I have even had friends and neighbors who have noticed that I look healthier.

I recently went on a ski vacation and was actually regretting breaking my routine.  Every time I have ever gone skiing my legs are completely sore but not this time! The 3 weeks of classes at Impact Fitness had me conditioned and I was really able to enjoy skiing with no soreness. As soon as I returned from vacation right after the holidays,  I jumped right back in to my routine and have not missed a day yet.

Don't hesitate to try out Impact Fitness. You can go at your own pace, you get pushed hard, and get results quickly. Oh yeah, and the trainers Ryan and Rob are awesome!

I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but when I do, I mean it.

I love love LOVE this gym! Within just a couple of weeks I noticed that I had more muscle definition, endurance and energy. I immediately bought a year pass and have been going ever since. The workouts are super challenging, but they're fast so you're in and out. No class is ever the same either, so you never get bored. The guys who work here are super nice, fun and approachable too, unlike other places that are intimidating. Definitely worth dropping the traditional gym membership!

I've been going to Impact for a little over two years now.  That's the longest I've committed that any workout program.  I've watched this gym grow and transform into something incredible!  The guys who own and run Impact (Mike, Steve, and Ryan) are awesome!  They are always in the gym, and are always so wonderful and supportive.  For example, I went in last Friday night for a 7:00pm kickboxing class.  There are TONS of class times offered, but 7pm on Friday is not one of them.  Mike was there closing up when I came in, and offered to let me stay and work out on my own.  Me being me, I replied that I didn't have that much self-discipline, and I'd just see them the next morning.  Mike said "Oh come on.  Wanna do some kettle-bells for 15-20 minutes, make ya feel better?  I'll give you a quick routine."  An hour and buckets of sweat later, kettle-bells now aside, I had my gloves on and was doing boxing rounds on and mule kicks.  It was strength, cardio, balance, core.. one of the best workouts I've had!  Mike did not have to stay an hour after close to do a one-on-one session with me, but he did.  And he would do it for you too.  Those are just the kind of guys who are running this place, and that's the kind of atmosphere that has been created.  People who work out there are of all levels, shapes, sizes, types... Everyone is welcome, and more importantly everyone feels welcome.  The workouts are so great!  There is a convenient class time no matter who you are or what you do - no excuses!  If you're going to spend 30 minutes working out, there is nothing more productive you can do than this.  Impact has completely transformed me.  It has become more than just a place for physical fitness, it's almost like a second home, like walking into the house for Thanksgiving or something... only with the reverse calories.  Just try it!  You will not regret it, and your body will thank you -  sooner than you might think ;)

While I've always periodically forced myself into a tortured run or through an uneducated workout at the gym... I've never consistently participated in an exercise routine.

I began working out at Impact in the fall of 2011 and now find myself getting upset when I have to miss a work out.

It is a short and intense work out.  I feel as exhausted as if I'd spent hours at the gym, but a 30 minute class is easy to incorporate into my schedule.  And I'm in better shape than I have ever been.

Every day the exercises are different, so you don't get bored and you are constantly working different muscle groups.  It is functional training at its best.

The trainers are to credit for my success with this work out.  Ryan's fun personality keeps atmosphere light and energetic.  And Robert's workouts will challenge you in every way with a good balance of both strength and endurance.

Impact maintains a perfect balance between having a trainer to push you further than you would yourself, but also catering to every fitness level.  Even if I've had to take time for travel and am feeling out of shape - I go back and feel encouraged instead of intimidated.

Its a small and inclusive gym which makes for a really fun environment.  The owners Mike and Steve know everyone's names and keep the gym updated with new equipment and special training sessions.  I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their health and have fun doing it.

I am usually always hesitant when it comes to joining gyms. I hate long term commitments and the sometimes annoying meat heads that roam from one station to the other. Needless to say, I have found a gym where people show up to sweat , get fit and not judge. No matter what skill level, fitness level or motivation level you start IMPACT at the trainers will  make you a fitter, stronger and healthier person. In a little over 2 months i have lost 9lbs of "fat' , become visually leaner and 40% stronger. Yes it sounds crazy but Mike, Karen, Ryan, and Rob all have their own unique way of pushing you past what  once  were your physical and mental limits. I would recommend "MY" (IMPACT MMA FITNESS) gym to anyone looking for an awesome place where results are proven. You can also channel the stress of work or your daily grind into the workouts once you throw on the gloves. Start with a 30 minute class, but I guarantee you'll stay for more

Love this place so much! My wife and I look forward to going to Impact classes every day!  I have been signed up at Impact for five weeks now and have lost 11 pounds and my over all health and fitness is just so much better. Classes are so fun and the trainers are so fantastical. I signed up for a year membership, and I will keep renewing that membership.  Also! Everyone that goes to Impact is so nice and non judgmental, it's like a nice community of people that I enjoy being around every day!

I discovered Impact Fitness in August 2011. Working out at home was getting boring and I always had an excuse for not going to the gym at work. I go to Impact 3 times a week and will be renewing for another year. It's affordable, it doesn't get boring and it's a full body challenge in just 30 minutes. I love that there are so many class options, and even on vacation days, if I'm in town, I take a class. Each instructor has their own style, I've had the pleasure of working out with all of them - all amazing, friendly, and energetic with a slight touch of evil (what more could you want? :)). They've recently added Primal7 which is another great challenge for strength and toning.

They offer a free trial class which will get you hooked! Make sure you have a protein shake after class and stay hydrated. It really helps your recovery so you can come back for more. Trust me, you will feel it the next day.

I've been going to this gym for 2 months and I am so addicted to it! I've never felt so strong!
It's definitely true that these classes are for everyone. You can go at your own pace, but the trainers still give me the extra push i need to get an amazing workout every time!
Other gyms are so boring and give me no motivation, but these classes are a blast for men and women. The trainers know all the best workouts and will even work with you one on one, which is an AWESOME deal for the price!
I am so in love with this gym i'm never going back!! :)

I've always wanted a gym that was exhausting, fun, and quick! I've never been whipped into shape faster by anything, probably because I'm the queen of excuses to NOT go to gyms, but there's no reason for me not to go here: every day is a little different, I really feel like I've made friends with the trainers and other members, and classes are only 30 minutes but will still make me sweat. Plus, Ryan and Robert (the two main trainers) are always asking me where I've been if I do play hooky... so it keeps me accountable. And now? Now I fit back into a size 4 after going all the way back up to a size 10, but this time I got to do it while still eating! Pizza!

I started going to Impact MMA because of a one month LivingSocial deal. After such a short time I already noticed results! For example, my legs are more toned, I have definition in my arms, and I feel firmer all over! I was so impressed that I signed up! The class schedule is very convenient with 30 minutes of high impact workouts that incorporates all the muscle groups followed by 15 minutes of strength training. The gym is conveniently located close to MoPac, clean, and actually smells good! The owner, Mike, and his staff are very professional, friendly, and supportive. Especially Robert! Robert is a great trainer, very attentive, and is able to offer one-on-one in a group setting without being intimidating.  The gym is friendly and encouraging to all fitness levels yet still remains challenging! Overall, I would recommend this gym to everyone!

I'm gonna admit it...I was a bit skeptical...but boy was I proven wrong.

The wife and I stopped in here just after eating over at la familia,so I was full of tex-mex and margs. We observed a class in progress and I kinda laughed...people were getting their butts kicked...they were sweating and grunting and beating the shit outta various bags, dummies and striker pads...

    ..and they were having FUN!!

We came in the following week for their free intro class...I left a changed man.

I wanted to return to this palace of pleasure and pain and put some hurtin' on a heavy bag...and then I wanted to kick the snot out of a striker.

We joined the following week...and I'm STOKED!

Great instructors, great people all "hot shots" walking around with their gelled up rooster faux hawk checking themselves out in the mirror after 10 reps of bench presses...

..everyone here has the same look of ass-kickedness in their eyes and there is no time for self gratification and adoration.

Best deal in town for a gym..hands down...low monthly rates and UNLIMITED CLASSES!!!!

    Get in there!!!
